Chapman (チャップマン, Chappuman) is a character in the original Suikoden game. Before and during the Gate Rune War, he was an armour merchant, but later quit his job to enter the entertainment industry.

Chapman was an armour salesman who supported the goals of the Toran Liberation Army, and decided to join the army after a encounter with Tir McDohl in his armour store in Antei[1]. As a member of the army, Chapman supplied its officers and soldiers with good-quality armour, including Tir himself[2]. Chapman was considered a sharp-tongued person, with a tendency to argue with his customers.
Following the fall of the Scarlet Moon Empire and the end of the Gate Rune War, Chapman discarded the armour business completely and opened a theatre[3].
