Marlowe Cody (マルロ・コーディー, Maruro Kōdī) is a character in Suikoden II. Marlowe is a tutor of Lilly Pendragon as well as a biographer of Riou.
Biography
|
Marlowe is a young man who was hired by Gustav Pendragon to tutor his young daughter, Lilly[2]. Though intelligent, Marlowe's talents were not often appreciated in Tinto and he had few friends, save Koyu[3].
During the Dunan Unification War, Marlowe met Riou, whose leadership inspired Marlowe so much that he left Tinto to become a member of the New State Army. Marlowe also began writing a chronicle of Riou's rise to fame[4], which he entitled Riou: The Path of the Warrior[5].
After the war ended, Marlowe founded a library in Tinto where he taught many children to love learning[6].
