Ruth Du Mongeoux (ルース・ドモンジョ, Rūsu Domonjo) is a character in Genso Suikoden Short Story Collection 1. He is the pet cat of Milich Oppenheimer.

Biography

Ruth Du Mongeoux was found by Milich during the War of Succession, abandoned in front of his home in Gregminster. A mongrel, he had long hair and tiger stripes, and his tail was so bushy that it could be mistaken for a raccoon's.

He was the spouse of Milich's other cat, Mille Feuille, the two having had a whirlwind romance, though they rarely got along. Ruth Du Mongeoux felt that Mille Feuille was losing her figure, but it turned out she was pregnant with a litter of kittens.

After the birth, Mille Feuille would announce her intention to divorce Ruth Du Mongeoux for his callous remarks, but decided to wait until the kittens were weaned and the two reconciled.

Loyal to Milich for taking him in, Ruth Du Mongeoux would try to warn his master of his disheveled appearance before leaving for an audience with Emperor Barbarosa but to no avail. He was also suspicious of Windy, remarking she looked like his wife when she was spoiling for a fight.
