Tanya (ターニャ, Tānya) is a supporting character in Suikoden IV. Tanya is a scholar and librarian with a view to becoming a student of the strategist Elenor Silverberg.

Tanya was a scholar possessing clear thought and rational thinking. She was willing to enter dangerous situations to satisfy her thirst for knowledge which led to her journeying to the Pirate's Nest in search of Elenor Silverberg. There, she encountered the Allied Forces and joined the crew of the Headquarters Ship, presiding over the ship's library.
As a crewperson, she would often enter into conflict with Agnes over receiving the teachings of Elenor with Agnes acting very protective of her position as Elenor's protege. Tanya, on the other hand, would often be jealous of Agnes' role in Elenor's life.
