The Giant Slug (スラッグ, Surragu, Slug) is an enemy which appears in Suikoden.

Their stats are very similar to their Giant Snail counterparts, having a strong PWR stat and mediocre numbers in everything else. However, by the time you encounter them, you should be more than able to deal with them, rendering them much less threatening that the Giant Snail.

Information

These giant snails lived in the Toran Lake Castle. Their bodies are covered by a highly durable gem-like shell but their retractable necks mean they can attack their prey from a distance without approaching the enemy.

Trivia

  • Slugs can in fact have shells, although not as depicted in the Giant Slug's sprite. They are usually very small, vestigial or internalised however. Semislugs have larger shells which are not quite vestigial but are still too small to retract into.
