Schmidt (シュミット, Shumitto) is a character in Genso Suikoden Short Stories 1. He was a general of the Scarlet Moon Empire who conspired with Geil Rugner to steal the throne from Barbarosa Rugner.

When General Teo McDohl tried to march to Gregminster he was obstructed by Schmidt and his 2,000-strong mounted cavalry, along with the 1,000-strong cavalry of Bergen, at the Fortress of Kwaba.
