Wustum (ワスタム, Wasutamu) is a character in Suikoden Tierkreis. Wustum is a fugitive chef on the run from the wrath of 1st Empress Consort Shairah.
Biography
Wustum had previously served as the head chef for the royal family in the Magedom of Janam. However, he grew angry at the limited pallets and disrespect suffered from both Mage Lord Danash VIII and 1st Empress Consort Shairah. Eventually, his attitude would see him imprisoned but Wustum would manage to escape from prison.
Since then, he had been on the run from the Magedom. Shairah continued to harbor a grudge, even sending a request to the Company to track him down. They would encounter Wustum in the Ch'olui Mountains and instead of capturing him, helped him repel a band of Magedom soldiers. Following this, he would agree to join the Company.
His first-class culinary skills were of great benefit to the morale of the Company, but he was also severely protective of his kitchen, refusing to let anyone else work in it. He would become dismayed at Shams' lack of taste, a result of him being fed overly-spiced food since childhood and vowed to retrain his taste-buds.
Following the war, he became the head chef at the Salsabil Royal Palace, in order to continue working on Shams' poor taste.
