Bernando (ベルナンド, Berunando) is a character who appears in supplemental materials concerning Suikoden II. He was the founder of the Dunan Monarchy.
Biography
Bernando was the man who established the Dunan Monarchy, which once ruled the region, around the current city of South Window. Under his reign, the monarchy stretched as far as Two River Principality in the west to the eastern lands of Muse Principality in the east.
He imposed heavy taxation on his people and his reign is characterized as one of misrule and maladministration, although it is said that he laid a firm foundation for the new country.
