Mun-Tsang (ミュン・ツアン, Myun Tsuan) is a supporting character in Suikoden Tierkreis. Mun-Tsang is a Scribe, exiled for attempting to steal the Chronicle of the Tatau Council.

Biography

Mun-Tsang is a warrior of the Scribes. Roughly 16 years ago, she was one of the first to believe that the Scribes should leave the woods and confront the Order of the One True Way but her views were rejected. In response, she would attempt to steal Elder Lao-Kwan's tattoos, the Chronicle of the Tatau Council, but was thwarted.

As punishment, her tattoos were changed to red, as a mark of her crime, and she was expelled from the forest. She would spend the years wandering the world, always remaining alone. When she discovered that Liu-Shen had inherited the Chronicle of the Tatau Council and was being supported in a way similar to that which she had originally proposed, she became embittered and convinced that Liu was unworthy of the Chronicle.

She would arrange to meet Liu, and unable to recognize why he was accepted and she was not, would attack him in order to steal the Chronicle. After her defeat, she would reflect on how Liu had forged friendships and used his Chronicle not only to fight but to protect people, even enemies such as Sophia.

This would allow Mun-Tsang to recognize Liu as worthy of the Chronicle and she decided to join the Company to fight alongside him and learn how to care and embrace the world in the manner he did.

Following the war, she would return to the woods and have her tattoos restored, with the Scribes approval, and continued to serve Elder Liu-Shen.
