Gareth was a sculptor and engraver, renowned for his talents throughout the Island Nations. Reinbach III's prized Rose Brooch was one of his works. However, the brooch was apparently made for display purposes and Gareth was surprised to hear that Reinbach was actively wearing it in battle.
During the Island Liberation War, he would request to join the Headquarters Ship crew so that he could maintain the Rose Brooch. Gareth refrained from fighting in the war itself but did sculpt an engraving for the vessel. Following the war, his ship engravings would become popular with visitors to the hot springs on Mordo Island.
