Confronting each other at the end of the ruins, Marscal said that he had not intention of flooding Falena and that his actions were merely a ploy to force a final confrontation and maintained that everything he had done was to make Falena a greater and more prosperous nation. He also admitted to being influenced by the Sun Rune in much the same manner Arshtat was but dismissed the notion that he was not responsible for his actions, stating that he chose to be influenced by the True Rune.
