Wakaba is a young martial artist training in [[Long Chan-Chan]]'s dragon-style martial arts. Wakaba is an unsuspecting young woman with an innocent, pure-hearted personality. She greatly admired Long Chan-Chan but was not entirely blind to his faults.

Eventually discovering that he was in [[Tinto Principality]], Wakaba began to make her way there. However, while travelling through the [[Greenhill Forest]], she collapsed due to fatigue from her constant training. [[Nash Latkje]] would discover her and help take her out of the forest on horseback. Her naivety and curiosity saw her intensely interested and easily distracted by the people they would encounter as they traversed the forest.
While on her way to Tinto Principality in search of Long Chan-Chan, Wakaba's exhaustive training led to fatigue, causing her to collapse in the [[Greenhill Forest]]. There, she was discovered by [[Nash Latkje]], who assisted her in reaching safety on horseback. Wakaba's naïve and curious nature made her fascinated by the various people they encountered during their journey through the forest.


From there, Wakaba would end up in the [[Forest Village]] where she encountered [[Hero (Suikoden II)|the leader]] of the [[New State Army]]. Impressed by the young man's strength, she joined the force, eventually reuniting with Long Chan-Chan in [[Crom Village]] and fighting in the army's infantry regiments. Together, the two were a well oiled pair on the battlefield.
