Inuyama Inuko (Japanese: 犬山イヌコ, also credited as 犬山犬子) is a Japanese actress and voice actress born on December 16, 1965, in Tokyo, Japan.[1] She is affiliated with the agency Across Entertainment, and is also a stage actress, being a prominent member of the theater troupe Nylon100℃ since its founding in 1993.[2] She voices Stendhal in Suikoden STAR LEAP.

Biography

Inuyama made her voice acting debut in 1996 in the animated series Midori no Makibao. Soon after, she gained widespread recognition voicing Nyarth (Meowth) in the Pokémon anime series from 1997 onward, continuing the role in numerous theatrical films.[2][3]

Beyond her iconic role in Pokémon, Inuyama has portrayed a wide variety of characters across anime, video games, and drama. Her notable roles include Manta Oyamada in both the 2001 and 2021 versions of Shaman King, Thirteen (Number 13) in My Hero Academia, and Manta Oyamada/Kurumizawa in the film Tokyo Godfathers.[3][4]

She is active in radio and stage and has appeared in live-action television and films, including works directed by Keralino Sandorovich as part of Nylon100℃. In 2015, she performed in the theatrical production of Nakasanno Himitsu (“A Hundred-Year Secret”), for which she received the Best Actress award at the 26th Yomiuri Theatre Awards.[5]

Her hobbies include bowling, listening to Showa-era popular music, and snorkeling.[3]
