Eilie is a part of a travelling group of circus performers along with [[Rina]] and [[Bolgan]]. Eilie and her group had traveled ever since leaving the [[Grassland]]<ref>"She's been traveling ever since she left the Grasslands." - Richmond ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>. Eilie performed as a knife thrower and was said to possess considerable skill<ref>"As far as her knife-throwing goes, she's the real deal all right." - Richmond ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>.

Eilie and her travelling group first encountered [[Hero (Suikoden II)]] while performing in [[Ryube Village]] when Eilie selected Riou as part of her act. After the performance, Eilie, Rina, and Bolgan travelled with Riou to the [[Highland Kingdom]]. However, business proved poor in Highland and the trio quickly moved back to the [[City-State of Jowston]]<ref>"Business was no good in Highland, so we decided to move elsewhere. We made it this far but...." - Eilie ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>. After being reunited with Riou, Eilie followed him to [[South Window City]], becoming part of the [[New State Army]].

Eilie expressed great concern for Riou during the [[Dunan Unification War]] and did her best to cheer him on<ref>"You've overcome every hurdle so far. You'll overcome this one too. I just know it." - Eilie ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>. Eilie also tried to think of a new attraction for the circus as the [[New State Army Headquarters]]'s population began to grow<ref>"There are so many more people now, I've been thinking about a new attraction. I wonder what would be good." - Eilie ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>.

 

Following the end of the war, Eilie returned to her life as travelling performer, but often thought of Riou<ref>"Returned to her life as a travelling performer, but often thinks of Riou." - Eilie's Ending Text ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>.

Despite her role as a performer, Eilie could be somewhat shy, especially in romance<ref>"Oh? Riou, it's you....Be nice to my sister, hee hee. The poor little thing is so shy." - Rina ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>. Though she had a crush on Riou, whenever Rina or Bolgan mentioned it, she would quickly try to silence them<ref>"Hoo hoo. You'd like anything he thought of....." - Rina<br>"Shut up, sis!!!!" - Eilie ([[Suikoden II]])</ref><ref>"Riou could become a gypsy and travel with us too. We'll do the knife-throwing act. We'll all be happy together!" - Bolgan<br>"Hey!!! Bolgan!!!! What are you saying!!!!" - Eilie ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>. Despite her attempts to keep her feelings quiet, her behavior made her feelings obvious<ref>"She's got a thing for you, all right.  She's always worried about you when you head off into combat..." - Richmond ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>.

 

Eilie was also said to have a large inferiority complex towards her sister, Rina<ref>"She's got a big inferiority complex towards her big sister." - Richmond ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>. The two were said to be as different as dogs and cats<ref>"Rina and Eilie are sisters, but they're as different as dogs and cats." - Richmond ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>.
