Trishtan was a former soldier in the [[Kingdom of Obel]] who resigned his position due to a psychosomatic illness that continued to plague him over the years. Once Obel was liberated from occupation by the Kooluk, Trishtan met Yu again and joined the crew of the Headquarters Ship at Yu's urging to continue his treatment. Aboard ship, Trishtan continued his treatment although he found fault with [[Carrie]] for giving him real medicine which, predictably, did nothing to relieve his symptoms. He also claimed that [[Nay-Kobold]] fur aggravated his condition and took up an all-carb diet to try and stay healthy.
