Gensosuikoden Alliance is a collection of unconnected manga, mostly humourous, some serious, centered around the general time period of [[Suikoden II]], allowing it to include returning [[Suikoden]] characters such as [[Hero (Suikoden)|McDohl]] as well as events from [[Gensosuikogaiden Volume 1|Gensosuikogaiden Volumes 1]] [[Gensosuikogaiden Volume 2|& 2]].
 
Also included at the front of the manga is a collection of artwork by various artists including some who also drew stories for this manga collection. At the back of the manga there is a selection of personal messages from the mangaka as well as advertisements and basic information for the games in the series and their soundtracks.
