Bob is a werewolf who holds a [[Rabid Fang Rune]]. This rune helps him maintain his human form<ref>"The rune that he uses doesn't give him the power to transform.  That's his natural power.  The rune just helps him to maintain his human form." - Richmond ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>, although when his body is weakened he transforms into his werewolf form more easily<ref>"When his body weakens, his body transforms more easily.  The other day he sneezed too hard and it caused him to change..." - Richmond ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>.  

Bob was born into the [[Village of the Lycanthropes]] in the [[Grassland]]; however, his homeland was destroyed by [[Windy]]<ref>"Bob was born in a village of Lycanthropes, but one day, a sorceress named Windy appeared and burned the village to the ground, killing everyone." - Richmond ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>.  After its destruction, Bob travelled onwards, eventually coming to the [[Kobold]] district of [[Two River City]].  

Bob wanted to join the [[New State Army]] but was hesitant to trust the fledgling force due to the low amount of recruits<ref>"Hey, don't let him get to you. Mr. Bob has a sharp tongue, but the truth is he's interested in joining the New State Army. But you're still too weak..." - Kobold Man ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>. As the New State Army grew bigger, Bob eventually consented to [[Hero (Suikoden II)]]'s request that he join the New State Army.

After the [[Dunan Unification War]], Bob returned to [[Kobold Village (Suikoden II)|Kobold Village]] where he was said to frequently complain, but nevertheless live a happy life<ref>"Moved back to Kobold village where he complains a lot, but lives a happy life." - Bob's Ending Text ([[Suikoden II]])</ref>.
