Warlock was the great magician who originally created [[~~rune cannons~~]]. Roughly 10 years before the outbreak of the [[Island Liberation War]], Warlock summoned a [[Giant Tree]] from another world and was able to discover a way to utilise that creature's magical abilities to create a new weapon; the rune cannon. This new weapon would quickly spread far and wide, quickly becoming ~~indespensible~~ in naval combat around the [[Island Nations]] region.
