The Rock Crab (カニモドキ, Kanimodoki and 岩ガニ, Iwagani) are two enemies that share the same name in Suikoden IV.
Information
One form of these crustacean creatures lived in the waters around the Nest of Pirates. They are well protected by their shells and can attack with their pincers. One can gain such materials as shells and seashells from their bodies.
Another Rock Crab lived on the beaches of Na-Nal Island and was a troublesome crab that could appear even in residential areas. Like its compatriot, it was well protected by its shell. The Stone of Defense it sometimes left behind in defeat was proof of that.
Trivia
- A messy localisation incident, for sure. The first crab's Japanese name "Kanimodoki" would probably be better off localised as "Mock (or Pseudo-) Crab".
