Ridley, after finding a "secret communique" between [[Kiba Windamier]] and [[Makai]] that offered a peace treaty in exchange for Two River's Kobold District. Unable to accept this, Ridley vowed to fight Highland without the human aid, using solely his own Kobold soldiers. However, this plan proved fruitless when [[Riou]], [[Makai]], and [[Chaco]] united with Ridley in fighting against the Highland army. Moved by this, Ridley realized that despite their differences, the people of Two River were still all citizens who wished to defend their home<ref>"Lord Makai..... Winged Horde kids...
