Maia (マイア, Maia) is a character from Suikoden STAR LEAP: Trails of the Stars.
Overview
Maia was a mysterious woman who resided in a secluded area east of the Scarlet Moon Empire. There, she awaited the arrival of someone she could entrust the future to.
She would meet Hou when he washed up in the region after his ship was sunk by a kraken. Over the next two days, Maia would introduce Hou to the wonders of the area, including its floating rocks and the Great Tree, which she talked about as if it were a person.
When Hou lamented that he had spent the last 10 years of his life traveling and fighting without ever finding a cause worth staying for, Maia would share her secrets with him. By the time Hou's comrades found him, Hou had decided to marry Maia and establish the village in this area.[1]
