Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising (百英雄伝 Rising, Hyakueiyūden Rising) is an announced game that serves as a companion title to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. It is styled as a "Town Creation RPG" and was previously referred to under the name "A Quiet Place".
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising serves as a companion game to Eiyuden Chronicle. Scheduled for release prior to the launch of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a town creation action RPG developed by Rabbit & Bear Studios and Natsume-Atari and is planned to feature various lifestyle mini-games that allow the player to gather a variety of different materials to build up their town, farm, house, and more.
Set in the same world as Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, it weaves together the pre-war tales of various characters who will eventually become your companions in the main game. The game will introduce a portion of Eiyuden Chronicle’s cast of characters in an original story with action and town-building elements.
There are also planned to be bonuses for players that link the game with Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes, namely the transferring of crafting items from one title to the other.
Rising's story centers around the heroes treasure hunting while aiding in reconstructing a suffering settlement (the town of Newnever) damaged by earthquakes. Conflict between those who wish to explore the ruins, the residents, those who don't want the ruins explored, and the character's motivations drive the story forward. The story focuses around three playable characters, the beastman Garoo, the scavenger JB, and the acting mayor Isha.
Also, a secret within the ruins is deeply related to the fate of one of the characters. What lies in these ruins will fuel a conspiracy that will shake the world, and tie into the main story of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.
On August 29, 2020, close to the end of the initial Kickstarter campaign, Rabbit & Bear Studios announced their intention to partner with Natsume-Atari to create an Town Creation RPG. This companion title is intended to be released before Eiyuden Chronicle itself.
It is planned for the two games to share assets with Natsume-Atari focusing on Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising so as not to sap resources from the development of Eiyuden Chronicle itself. The game was initially referred to simply as "Town Creation RPG", "the companion game", and its original Kickstarter reward tier "A Quiet Place".
The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase at E3 2021, on June 13, 2021, showed the first footage of the game and confirmed the name of the game as Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, and that it would be a day one Game Pass game, with a projected release date some time in 2022. 505 Games would later release an English language trailer, giving a projected release date of Spring 2022.
