West Mt. Hioni (ヒオニ山西部, Hioni Yama Seibu) is a location in Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki. It is part of Mt. Hioni and forms the far western frontier of the Holy Empire of Ionia's claimed lands.
Information
Located west of Mt. Hioni, these mountains were little explored by HIY 300. In HIY 100, however, a hidden cabin was maintained there and used by Domitia and Narishuya in their attempt to replicate the Yuga shaman arts.
By HIY 200 the place had become forgotten though it was the source of rumors of prohibited documents that led to the Holy Empire of Ionia of that time attacked Hioni Village to suppress the spread of such texts. Beaga also spent time at West Mt. Hioni during this time for his sabbatical.
A century later, Regius would find the cache hidden here though he found much of it unhelpful for his particular research. He would use the books to make contact with the hero through Utze, leading to their joining the Company.
West Mt. Hioni also marked the western frontier of the barrier. A path there hit the edge of the barrier, appearing to repeat endlessly to anyone attempting to traverse it.
