Numistro (ヌミストロ, Numisutoro) is a supporting character in Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki. Numistro is a friendly, enthusiastic, and strong-willed meat chef in the city of Achlites.
History

Numistro was a chef who worked at the largest inn in the Ionian city of Achlites. His ancestors were famed chefs, but Numistro held no such pretentions himself despite his skill. He was a friendly and rather meek individual, willing to believe the best of people.
Following the Company and Quinelia Liuis' 2nd Branch's successful repelling of the Vermilion Axe, Numistro was extremely eager and proud to welcome the Company and its leader to his inn.
Later, when the Yggdrasilian Throne enacted its edict against the Company, Numistro would warn Quinelia and the hero of the 1st Branch's search. Realizing Numistro could be targeted as a known admirer of the Company, Quinelia encouraged him to leave Achlites for his own safety and so he joined the Company after being assured the Yggdrasilian Throne's charge of treason was false.
As a member of the Company, Numistro was able to learn from many great chefs of the past, including Hortensius, Myriel, and Nima. Nima, in particular, was a special meeting for Numistro as she was his ancestor, though there was little physical resemblance between the two. Numa was also an ancestor of his, but the two cooked in completely different fields and so did not interact.
Following the fall of the barrier, Numistro became the head chef for the Ionian provisional government in Thaksis, preparing meals for the ever-busy Quinelia and Laskaris Liuis.
Trivia
- Dialog exists in the game files for Numistro learning a skill from Tarascio Lucio's cookbook but this seemingly cannot be accessed in normal gameplay as you will always have to use the kitchen after receiving the book but before recruiting Numistro, forcing Bjorn to always be the recipient of the skill.
