Lake Dunan (デュナン湖, Deyunan Mizūmi) is a location in Suikoden II. It is a large lake that dominates the Dunan region.
Information
Lake Dunan is a large lake that lies almost exactly in the center of the Dunan region. Its high temperature waters means it does not freeze over in winter and so makes for a thriving fishing ground all year round. It has a deep bottom and sometimes suffers from heavy fog.
It is an important trade route for merchants and travellers as most of the principalities in the region lie against the lake and fisherman frequently use the rich lake as well as the source of their livelihood. Stonefish, squid, shellfish, blowfish and shrimp are the most common catches for consumption. Salmon is highly desired by fishermen but catch rates are quite low.
