Jabba (ジャバ, Jaba) is a supporting character in Suikoden. Jabba is a master appraiser who has only failed to appraise a single item in his long career.

History

Yes? I can appraise anything.

—  Jabba
A dangerous promise to make.

Jabba was an expert appraiser who ran an appraisal store in the town of Rikon. He had absolute confidence in his own discerning eye, claiming to be able to appraise any item and, indeed, could discern the value of most any antique with a glance. However, he was not overconfident, merely very experienced in the dating and placing of items.

There was one object in Jabba's past that eluded his classification and when he was presented with the nameless urn once again by McDohl, even he had to admit defeat and in return, agreed to join the Toran Liberation Army.

Following the Gate Rune War, his unique eye for appraisal was noted and he was entrusted with the financial management of the newly established Toran Republic. By the year 475, he had retired from the post.

Trivia

  • If you sell Jabba the nameless urn instead of recruiting him, he'll give you a measly 100 potch for the antique. You can find another one and try and recruit him again.
