Hakugin (ハクギン, Hakugin) is a character in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. She is a shadowy ninja. Her favorite food is baked custard.
She was first revealed as a Kickstarter stretch goal at 3.85 million USD on August 26, 2020. The goal was met to secure her inclusion on the following day. Hakugin's appearance was decided by a poll on the official Eiyuden Chronicle Discord on August 27, 2020 and revealed on August 29.

Hakugin is a female ninja, a kunoichi, who tends to keep to the shadows. Originally from a forest village, Hakugin is a veteran ninja as well as an old friend of Mio. Although serious, and a very cool and composed warrior in battle, she also holds a sentimental side.
While Mio is an idealist who pursues her aims unflinchingly, Hakugin is more of a realist. Each provides a healthy dose of perspective to the other. Hakugin's mind was blown the moment she tasted her very first baked custard.
Appearance
Hakugin's appearance was chosen from one of four Kawano Junko concept designs by a user poll through an official Google document poll on August 27, 2020. All four designs were revealed simultaneously on the August 26 Kickstarter update.
The winning design, "Design D: Veteran Kunonichi" was announced on the final day livestream on August 29. The final vote tally was as follows:
- Veteran Kunoichi - 3028 votes
- Cool Kunoichi - 1291 votes
- Fledgling Kunoichi - 1278 votes
- Battle-Loving Kunoichi - 938 votes
