Gateway: Locations
Ten unique games in the Suikoden series are set in the same world, in various locations and times in its history. A further three titles explore the multiverse known as the Infinity. These worlds all hold a host of countries, regions, settlements, and natural features for the player to explore.

Featured Location Muse City (ミュース市, Myūsu Shi) is a location in Suikoden II which also features in Genso Suikogaiden Vol.1 and Genso Suikoden Card Stories. It is the capital of both Muse Principality and the City-State of Jowston. The center of the City-State of Jowston, Muse City was also one of the largest cities in all the alliance with a population of 13,000. Prosperous, its stores were always busy and its people vibrant and busy. Although the city has no trading post, its streets are lined with businesses and are crowded with customers daily. Reflecting this, its primary industry was trade and commerce. To the west of the city lies the gates that lead to Jowston Hill, where important City-State meetings were held. The gate is only opened during special events and ceremonies, such as these meetings. It is all this that made Muse City the first target of the Highland Army once the Dunan Unification War began in earnest. (more...) The Infinity The Infinity (百万世界, Hyakuman Sekai, Million Worlds) is the term used to describe the collection of infinite parallel worlds that link the Suikoden series together following Suikoden V, though references to the concept have existed since Suikoden II. It is a key plot point in Suikoden Tierkreis and Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki. The Infinity is described as the infinite number of parallel worlds that exist in the overall cosmology. The worlds can both be extremely similar when compared to one another or incredibly disparate. Overall, there can be said to be no universal recurring element. (more...)
