Gateway: Cards
The Genso Suikoden Card Stories Trading Card Game was a collectible card game produced and released by Konami from 2001 and 2004. It was also the subject of a Game Boy Advance video game titled Genso Suikoden Card Stories. The aim of the game was to emulate the flow of a campaign between armies in the Suikoden series by deploying characters to complete missions and facilities to earn a set number of victory points.

Over those four years some 1,400 cards were released over 11 different set and booster releases. These cards depicted characters, locations, and events from the Suikoden series, often with unique art from commissioned artists, giving them great appeal to fans of the series.

Genso Suikoden Card Stories (GBA)
Genso Suikoden Card Stories (幻想水滸伝カードストーリーズ, Gensōsuikoden Kādosutōrīzu) is the fifth game of the Suikoden series and the third side-game to be released between Suikoden II and Suikoden III. It was designed and released for the Game Boy Advance.

Previously when concept work began on Genso Suikogaiden Vol.1, the idea of a card game was first mooted. When a game was to be developed for the Game Boy Advance, the concept was returned to, partly because of the perceived difficulty of creating a full adventure game with the required depth on the handheld device. Deck Rules
The deck (デッキ, dekki) is the set of cards that a player can draw from while playing Genso Suikoden Card Stories. Each player uses their own deck in a game.

A deck is made from Character, Mission and Facilities cards. When a game begins, the deck is placed face-down in the deck space on the game field. (more...)
