Fujita Kaori (藤田香, January 24, 1971 - July 13, 2018) was an illustrator who worked for Konami as an artist for the Genso Suikoden Card Stories TCG and as a lead character designer for Suikoden V.

Production History

Fujita Kaori's role at Konami began as a contracted artist for several cards in the Genso Suikoden Card Stories TCG. Some time after that she would be hired as a character designer for 2005's Suikoden V. She would be responsible for the design and art for most of the game's main cast, including the main character, his family, Zerase, Craig Laden, and a host of others.

Following her time at Konami, she would became prolific as an illustrator for novels and others books, most commonly children's literature at Blue Bird Bunko. Her most notable work in this field likely being her role as an illustrator in the Kuromajo-san ga Toru!! (Here Comes the Black Witch!!) series of novels from 2012 to 2014.

She illustrated Japanese editions of overseas novels, such as A Little Princess, Little Women, and The Secret Garden for Blue Bird Bunko. She also worked on the Aquarian Age TCG as well as educational manga and other materials. A collection of her artwork would be published by Enterbrain in 2008.

She passed away on July 13th, 2018, after suffering from pancreatic cancer. She was 47 years old.
