Chikura (チクラ, Chikura) is a supporting character in Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki. Chikura is a Yuga malicite crafter dedicated to preserving Yuga culture.

History

It may be inevitable that Yuga blood will die out, but its soul must be preserved!

—  Chikura

Chikura was a Yuga malicite crafter who fought alongside Kauriya during the HIY 200 Teras Pharma conflict. Prior to this, unwilling to accept the demise of Yuga culture and practices, he taught the featherfolk how to craft malicite. Irin was his student who gave him no end of headaches with her cheerful, frivolous nature.

The hero was introduced to Chikura through Mudogara. Although Chikura was skeptical of the hero's time travel claims, his trust in Mudogara led him to cooperate. Eager to ensure that the spark of Yuga knowledge would survive through the centuries, he would readily pass down his skills to Utze and Guwaini.

Although he disapproved slightly of Utze due to his frivolous nature, he also found teaching Guwaini questionable due to his having already taught his skills to the featherfolk of his time. After passing down his skills, Chikura would encourage the Company to further learn from Irin and her husband Wan.

Following the end of the war, in another attempt to keep Yuga culture alive, Chikura took a new apprentice, but no one else was able to inherit his art of crafting malicite. In a branch of the Infinity where the chains of causality were broken and the barrier fell, he gathered the few remaining Yuga in a pique of nostalgia and set out for their ancestral homeland.
