Cario (キャリオ, Kyario), also known as Cariolenis (キャリオレニス, Kyariorenisu), is a character in Genso Suikoden Tierkreis Hoshikuzu no Shiro.
History
Cario was a member of the Star Corps who appeared alongside the Commander and taught Tosh about both Gateways and Chronicles.
He was always seen smiling with his eyes closed and was a gentle man of incredible beauty. However, when his eyes opened, the silvery glow unique to the Biskiel people shined through.
In his original world, he had worked as a councilor alongside his love, Eurelis. He, like most Biskiel, had chosen to accept the destruction of the world and resolved to spend his last days in tranquility with Eurelis. His surrender, in part, allowed the world, along with his lover, to be destroyed.
He would survive through the world fusion and, memories lost, would be possessed of a great, unknown sadness for a time before awakening as a Starbearer. This time, he would choose to fight and join the Star Corps.
Although not as adept as a wanderer, Cario could handle Gateways and use them to travel to other Gateways in the same world. He was also a reader, able to extract magic from Chronicles and also prevent others from using magic obtained from Chronicles.
As a member of the Star Corps, he seemed to be the member most likely to act in consort with the Commander, besides the Commander's trusted friends.
In the final battle, it is unknown when he managed to reach the top of the Order Pillar to fight the One King, however his body was found indicating that he had fought and died.
