Brec (ブレック, Burekku) is a supporting character in Suikoden IV. Brec is a pirate serving under Jango, fighting against the encroachment of the Kooluk Empire on their territories.
History

Brec was a pirate who served under Jango, who he looked up to as a brother. Although a rough-hearted sort of man, he's not one to rampage but can become violent when provoked.
When the pirate crew found the Kooluk Empire encroaching on territories they considered theirs, Brec and Jango forced their way onto the Headquarters Ship and intimidated their way into the hero's bedroom, joining the crew.
As part of the crew, Brec turned a lot of people against him with his resistance to any form of bathing, especially Taisuke, who had to clean up after the rare baths he and Jango did take.
Following the Island Liberation War, Brec turned to his pirate lifestyle under Jango, loving the excitement and lack of hygiene standards of his career.
