Boldon (ボールドン, Bōrudon) is a major character in Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki. He is the ever-exuberant chief of Orosk Village and a martial arts master.

History

The Vermilion Axe won't get away with this! I'll crush their ambitions with my bare fists!!

—  Boldon

Boldon served as the chief of Orosk Village, leading and protecting its people from danger. He was a recognized martial arts master, having studied under Hagar Biarki, the chief of Therbe Village. Boldon was known to be highly exuberant and his energy often made people either laugh or brought frustration. Although a man who always acted before he thought, Boldon always acted in the best interests of his villagers, shielding them from the worst of the Holy Empire of Ionia's actions.

When the Vermilion Axe came to Orosk Village and several craftsmen began to disappear afterwards, the suspicious Boldon traveled to Mt. Orosk. He would meet up with the hero there and impressed him by defeating a Teras Pharma single-handedly. Together, they would investigate Mt. Orosk's Mountain Cavern and free the captured villagers before they were fed to the Vermilion Axe's Teras Pharma.

Furious, Boldon would accompany the hero's company from that point on in order to eliminate the Vermilion Axe. As he declared, the people of Orosk would not countenance a village chief who only cared about one village, so it was his duty to fight. At Epat Bridge, he would explain how the bridge was blocked due to the wyvern there and also met Judiela again. He had apparently meant to deal with the wyvern issue at some point but had never gotten around to it.

He would continue to fight alongside the company for the rest of the war. At the lake fortress, he would form a kinship with Moudi, based on their love of their respective local liquors. Bordon would even learn the healing arts from Moudi. He also helped to tutor Ermione in the martial arts, helping her to deal with her grief.

Following the final battle at the Yggdrasilian Palace, Boldon would lead the mass migration of the people of Orosk Village, pushing through the northern forest. The villagers were all happy to follow and trust in his leadership. In the branch of the Infinity where the chains of causality were broken, he instead joined the hero's immigrant fleet. With his monstrous strength, he contributed greatly to the construction of the port city they founded.
