Ashen (アシェン, Ashen) is a character in Genso Suikoden Tierkreis Hoshikuzu no Shiro.
History
Ashen was a court mage from the Leonos Kingdom. Although he looked like a child, he was actually older than Rio. He was a calm and bright person, with an attitude of not doing anything he didn't strictly have to. He was able to analyze situations incredibly calmly.
He joined the Leonos Kingdom's Order subjugation army but was chided by Rio for questioning Skyle's orders. He would return to the capital with Rio and Prince Jermia following the expedition, worried about his career prospects.
Even after losing his memories to world fusion, Ashen would harbor an uncomfortable feeling and would discover his status as a Starbearer by uncovering a False Chronicle in the ruins. After this, he would become a member of the Star Corps.
He was a skilled magician, especially when it came to breaking through barrier magic. Unlike most magicians, he did not convert magic into physical forms such as fire or wind. Instead he was able to utilize raw magic itself.
During the final battle against the One King, Ashen was one of the last to make it to top of the Order Pillar. He was able to pour all his magical power into Rio before dying.
