== Biography ==
Kumagai began his performing career at a young age, participating in the Kurashiki Music Festival at six years old. He started formal lessons at age eight after winning the runner-up prize in the singing division of the "Killat Entertainment Challenge Contest 2016." His interest in singing was influenced by his older sister, who studied musicals.<ref name="JP">[https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%86%8A%E8%B0%B7%E4%BF%8A%E8%BC%9D Japanese Wikipedia entry]</ref>

Known for his strong singing voice, he appeared in numerous musicals as a child actor. He made his stage debut in 2019 in the musical ''Love Never Dies'', followed by a role in ''The Phantom'' the same year. His major voice acting breakthrough came in 2019 when he was cast as the Japanese dub voice for the young Simba in the CGI film ''The Lion King''.<ref name="JP"/>
