== Biography ==
Kaji was born on January 24, 1973, in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.<ref name="mydramalist">[https://mydramalist.com/people/110329-kaji-naoto My Drama List]</ref> He enrolled in the Bungakuza Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1997 and became a full member of the Bungakuza company in 2002. From September 2009 to September 2010, he studied in London as an overseas research student dispatched by the Agency for Cultural Affairs.<ref name="bungakuza">[https://www.bungakuza.com/member/prof/kaji-naoto.htm Bungakuza website]</ref>

Standing 182 cm tall, his hobbies and skills include rugby (having played for Waseda University's athletic club) and scuba diving (holding an open water license).<ref name="bungakuza"/>
