			Gensopedia's policy is to broadly use official localized terms whenever possible. For non-localized characters and locations, reasonable attempts at fan localization have been made.

			For games and other such official releases with no licensed localization, the Genso prefix is always used (e.g., [[Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki]] rather than ''Suikoden: Woven Web of the Centuries'', the [[Genso Suikoden Encyclopaedia]] rather than ''Suikoden Encyclopedia'', etc.) when applicable. This also serves as an immediate shorthand to know whether a work has been officially localized.

			This extends to subtitles. As an example, [[Genso Suikogaiden Vol.1]] is referred to on Gensopedia as "Harmonia no Kenshi", rather than "Swordsman of Harmonia" (the popular and perfectly accurate fan localization) or "Harumonia no Kenshi" (the word ハルモニア already having an official localization).
